Soak in this gelatinous foot bath & feel the fluffy jelly into the skin and muscles for a luxurious spa experience offered at Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe. The powder solution mixed in warm water turns water into a luxurious encasing comfort, which provides the ultimate relief for stress and aching muscles. Translucent jelly holds water temperature four times longer than water and aloe vera extracts, which is gentle enough for sensitive skin, act as a burst of hydration for dry and tired skin. The jelly bits naturally exfoliate calluses and cuticles while plant oils deeply moisturize skin. It also keeps working hands smooth and conditioned. The jelly sterilizes and drains out the odor and toxins from feet and relieves and gently exfoliates itchy rashes. Studies have shown that it is safe to use for sensitive skin.

This translucent fluffy jelly is utilized as a pre-soak for pedicure, manicure and bath. Scrubbing is made easy after a jelly soak. Developed in Japan, used by the hottest leading salons and enjoyed by many celebrities. Highlight of this experience is soaking in this gelatinous foot bath and massaging jelly bits into the skin and muscles, stimulating senses that has never been touched before.

Jelly soak consists of two components. The first component comprises a unique combination of natural powder ingredients which when added to hot water produces a gelatinous mixture. The second component, often found in the cupboards of the most kitchen, is made up of baking soda and mineral sea salts which dissolves the mixture and allows the contents of the tub to easily drain. Watch as the wooden basin becomes full of translucent luxurious jelly, soak and massage feet/hands, scrubbing away stress and impurities. When finished soaking, witness how the accompanying mineral salt packet dissolves the jelly back into water. Amazing!

At Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe feet are then scrubbed to take off dead skin and reveal a smooth skin after a jelly soak or a foot spa. It also offers hair color & hair treatments, massage, fish spa, ear candling, coffee scrubs, mani-pedi with nail art, jelly soak, foot spa, salads, sandwiches, pasta, breakfast, frappe & coffees.

Fish Spa @ Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe

Fish spa is an easy therapy to clean your feet and remove dead skin. Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe has two fish tanks to facilitate this service.

Below are few benefits of a fish spa, the natural pedicure:
     1.     Fish spa exfoliates dead skin leaving healthy skin to glow.
     2.     Fish spa relaxes and soothes tired feet.
     3.     The nibbling action of the fish creates a tickling sensation increasing the secretion of
endorphins from the brain which provides a “feel good” feeling.
     4.     The saliva of the fish contains an enzyme dithranol (anthralin) which stimulates the growth
           of new skin cells.
     5.     The procedure softens the feet, reduces itching, and helps get rid of dark spots on skin.
           It improves blood circulation.

Client will begin the pedicure by having her/his feet washed and sanitized prior to placing them into the tanks filled with fish.  Buena Salon, Spa & Café have one tank built for each client. The fish have no teeth, as many spa goers say "kiss the skin", leaving the healthy skin untouched to continue to grow and repair. The fish exfoliate the dead skin by performing a gentle sucking motion while releasing a beneficial enzyme that results in softer skin. The process is both painless and strangely wonderful, leaving behind a unique pleasant tingling sensation.

Many spa clients have been skittish or find it to be ticklish at first.  The initial feeling of trepidation dissipates quickly as the tingling sensations mimic a massage. Once feet have been placed in the water, Doctor Fish begin to investigate. The fish seek out and remove dead skin, bacteria and calluses while rejuvenating healthy skin. The fish treatments are utilized to release fatigue, increase blood circulation and aid in relaxation. It is best to have your feet dangling in the water so the fish can clean the hard callous skin on the bottom of your feet and heels.  The fish cannot transmit diseases, the water that the treatments are provided in is constantly replaced and tanks regularly sterilized and there is no record of any diseases or infection being transmitted through this treatment. We suggest that clients utilize the spa for 4 – 6 treatments initially and then a treatment every 6 to 8 weeks to keep their feet in tip top condition.

Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe also offers hair color & hair treatments, massage, fish spaear candlingcoffee scrubs, mani-pedi with nail art, jelly soak, foot spa, salads, sandwiches, healthy juices, pasta, breakfast, frappe & coffees.

Ear Candling @ Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe

Ear Candling, also called ear coning or thermal-auricular therapy, is an alternative medicine practice claimed to improve general health and well-being and is being offered in Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe. It is a therapeutic relaxation technique similar to acupressure, acupuncture, and aromatherapy. It involves inserting a long, cylindrical candle made from fabric coated with beeswax, into the ear and lighting it on the other end. Most ear candles are about a foot in length.

Earcandling is a matter of personal choice and the reasons people use them are as varied as people themselves. What is known is that the majority of people who use them have not only enjoyed the experience but have recommended it to a friend.

Ear candles are not designed to remove anything from your body except tension, negative energy, stress, and anxiety. These candles work to aid the body in its natural healing process. The ear candles work to soften the built up earwax in the ear but the wax you find at the bottom of the candle afterwards is not earwax.

Ear candles are used to promote healing, relieve stress, and to release blocked energy. They aid the body to heal itself by depositing a thin layer of wax over the skin of the outer ear canal. This not only softens the earwax that is already in the ears, it chokes the pores and causes the body to produce oils that move the foreign material out of the ear. This process will happen over the next few days after the ear candling procedure while sleeping or in the shower or when cleaning ears with a wipe or washcloth. Using cotton swabs to clean the ears pushes the wax back into the ear canal and defeats the purpose of using ear candles.

Important Ear Candling Notes:

·   Proponents of ear candling suggest a session once every three (3) months.
·   If the ears feel dry after cleansing, moisturize the skin using a few drops of warm oil
    applied with wipe.
·   Ear candling is not a cure-all. While effective in many cases, it is best to be seen first by
an EENT doctor if you are experiencing specific medical problems.
·   Ear candling is not recommended for:
    1) People who have a hole in their eardrum.
    2) If you’ve had tubes in your eardrums (Can be checked to see if they have healed shut
        before candling).
    3) If you have difficulty breathing where small amounts of smoke is a threat.
        (ex. emphysema, etc.)
·   Excessive use is not wise or recommended.

Buena Salon, Spa & Cafe also offers hair color & hair treatment, fish spa,  ear candlingjelly soak,  mani-pedi with nail art, footspa, massagecoffee scrubs, salads, healthy juices, frappes & coffees.
